In today’s video Vicki wrestles a Droplet onto a crocodile! Oh wait that’s Hugo, he’s 10 months and 12kg and has some super chunky thighs. Vicki shows us how to put a swim nappy on a wriggly, upset bubba. Not the most fun situation but we’ve all been there, haven’t we? Our swimming nappies are great because you can slide them on like underwear if bub refuses to lie down and then after swimming just pop the sides open and it comes off in seconds. With Droplets it’s really important to get that nappy in the groin line to create a great leg seal.
Droplets are our new swimwear range! Check out the whole range including rashies here.
Vicki Simpson has been advocating for and selling cloth nappies in Australia for over a decade. She is the owner, creator and chief Nappy Nerd here at Bubblebubs.

Hi everyone, I’m Vicki from Bubble Bubs. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to try the large swing nappy on him and see how it goes. He has got some monster thighs so when you’re actually looking to choose the size of your swing nappy, most important thing is the size of those thighs. So the advantage of our droplets is their side snapping [inaudible 00:00:27] when Bub is all wriggly like this, we can just pop them on like underpants, can’t we? Can I do that? Can we do that?
And of course being side snap, when you’re at the pool, when you’re trying to take wet clothes off and baby is just as wriggly, we can just quickly undo the snaps. I’ll show you when [inaudible 00:00:54]. Just going to pull these. You’ve got thighs like me.
So as you can see, we’ve got a nice fit there, and a nice fit there. Just want to make sure that the elastic is not in the underpants line so that we end up with [inaudible 00:01:20]. And then we finish our swim lessons or you’ve done a poop in the pool … We wouldn’t be doing this if he did a poop. We’d try to this lying down and we go, “Snap, snap. Snap, snap.” And off we go. Awesome.
